I am originally from Phoenix, Arizona so it was quite a big transition, and what I quickly found was everyone was so friendly that I felt like a local immediately.  The area is full of things to do such as hiking the beautiful mountains, fishing the clear running rivers, skiing down the amazing snow covered slopes, playing in our gorgeous Wallowa lake, hunting in the back mountains as well as visiting all the cool museums, unique shop and tasty restaurants in town all while enjoying the never ending beauty of this part of the country.
